Daily Post for 26th April 2012
Good Evening all,
It is so good to be back with a computer and the time and space to sit down and talk to you all once again.
My book club went really well this morning, there were only 4 of us but we all had plenty to say and plenty of opportunity to contribute to the discussion.
We were discussing Room by Emma Donoghue, the book I had chosen as the one to start the group with. This was a book which a couple of members would not have bought if they had seen it in a shop but once asked to read it found it compelling and we all found it to be ‘unputdownable’. I will be typing up the discussion notes in detail sometime soon and they will be found under my book club section.
As mentioned yesterday, our next book is Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.
I have also been out all afternoon at meetings relating to my children, in particularly Joshua – hopefully his statement of educational need will be changed soon so that I can look for a more appropriate school for his needs.
My daughter went to live with her dad in January and she seems to have settled well in her new school and has made lots of friends at school and home so I am very pleased with my decision to let her go.
Since then Joshua has also calmed down somewhat and home life is a little more settled on the whole.
Louis my toddler has now taken over with the naughty behaviour but I hope this will be short-lived.
Robbie my 10 month old is now crawling (very fast), so lots of changes recently.
I continue to battle a little with my disability and will be having an MRI scan in a few weeks but the help I get from my carers is invaluable and the adult company is most welcome.
I have a lot of information to add to my blog but I will be doing it slowly as time, children and health allow so please continue to be patient, I have a number of book reviews to post and some writing exercise material which I completed while without the computer.
I will bid you a good evening and catch up with you all again tomorrow.
Adele
