The dystopian world in this book was described really well. It has a well-thought out plot and believable characters. The love story with a twist gives an added element of interest.
The protagonist Katniss, develops into a complete character who you could imagine and relate to, her confusion of feelings, feistiness and concern for her family were so true to life. The character of Peeta was interesting and I felt sorry for him by the end of the book.
The actual plot was a brilliant idea and the detail involved really helped to make the scenes spring alive in you mind. It is not a world any one of us would like to live in and I feel their will be many more twists and turns to come in the next book.
I enjoyed reading this book and couldn’t put it down, I have done little else but read for the last day and a half.
