Daily post for Sun 6th May 2012
Good afternoon,
Here is hoping you are all well and that you have had good weekends.
I rose early this morning and managed to get me and the 3 boys to church for the first time in 3 months. It was very good for me to get out and do something for me, I enjoyed catching up with the people I haven’t seen for a while. Louis seemed to have a good time playing with the crèche toys and Joshua tolerated it, I would say.
Unfortunately Robbie is the unwell one at the moment, he woke up this morning wheezy and chesty so the inhaler came out of its cupboard again. It is only a couple of months since he got bronchiolitis, this has left his chest very susceptible to infection at the moment and leaves him with asthmatic symptoms when he gets a cold. As his bronchioles grow and widen he should grow out of this but for today that thought doesn’t help much.
He slept through the service and woke up just before we left to get our taxi home, by which time he needed his inhaler again, this had little effect and I have spent the afternoon monitoring him and giving him his inhaler every hour and a half. He has nodded off again now so I will see how he is again later. He seems a little more comfortable when asleep but is still breathing very fast and shallowly, looks like I will be on baby watching duty tonight. I wonder when I will get some sleep, this will be my 4th night in a row where 4 hours sleep seems to be the maximum I can manage.
When I was asleep I had the most vivid dream ever and it was not a pleasant one. I even knew that I was dreaming but was unable to wake myself up. I think I need to learn to switch off a little better at night as the dream contained lots of hints at things I was worrying about and things I had done, seen or overheard the day before.
Wishing you all well
Adele
