book review – mockingjay by suzanne collins
publisher: Scholastic Children’s Books

I loved this, the 3rd book in the hunger games trilogy. I didn’t feel there was quite as much adventure and pace to this book but did feel that it fit well within the trilogy as the story was winding down to its conclusion.
I felt the portrayal of Katniss and her mental state was very good as this could well have been the outcome of what she had been through.
I didn’t like what happened to Peeta’s character but again this was the right way to portray his condition following what the Capitol did to him while he was in their captivity.
It was different to the first 2 books as it did focus more on how the games had affected people but I liked this difference and felt that it worked well.
I give this book 5/5 stars and trilogy overall 5/5 stars, I loved this book as much as I loved them all.
