Book Review – Putting Alice Back Together by Carol Marinelli
Publisher: MIRA books an imprint of Harlequin (UK) Limited – 2012
ISBN: 978-1-848-45059-2
The plot for this book was a work of art, it centres around Alice and her life, past and present, how things in your past impact on your life in the present.
There are a lot of character’s in this book which I found a little confusing at first but once I got to know them all a bit better it was easier to distinguish between them and fit them altogether in my mind.
The character’s are very real and lifelike and there will definitely be somebody who you can relate to .
A lot of the book is Alice’s thoughts narrated to us and this is so realistic and normal, she expresses her doubts, her crazy thoughts, her fears and the things which make her happy. She is one of the most 3-dimensional characters I have met.
I enjoyed this book very much but not quite as much as some of our other book club choices. The confusion of character’s at the beginning put me off slightly.
Star rating 4/5 – I really liked it.
