My Review
This is a book which has an excellent plot which couples simple country living with the extravagance of a movie stars lifestyle. The story line carries you along easily and knits together perfectly. The humour in certain situations comes through clearly as does the fear, uncertainty, love, confusion, empathy, concern, friendship and passion.
Maxi Shelton has a gift for drawing character’s who come alive on the page even, minor character’s who don’t feature very much. As a reader you are drawn into the lives in the book and you really care about what happens to them all.
Unfortunately the book is very poorly proofread. It is riddled with errors throughout. This is a huge distraction whilst reading the novel and would lead to many people abandoning it through sheer frustration. This is a real shame as the plot and characters are great. Therefore despite the positives I can only give Living The Dream 3/5 stars.
