Author spotlight – Cezarija Abartis

 

Author Bio

Cezerija Abartis was born in Germany of Lithuanian parents, grew up in Pittsburgh, and lives in Minnesota with her husband.  Her stories have appeared in Twilight Zone Magazine, Story Quarterly, Mnoa, New York Tyrant, and other print magazines.

Online she has published in Monkeybicycle, Prime Number, Per Contra, Pure Slush, Wigleaf, Waccamaw, and fifty other magazines. Her flash, “The Writer,” was in Wigleaf’s Top 50. She teaches in the English Department of St. Cloud State University.

The teacher part of her wants you to know she worked real hard on this collection: the first draft was begun more than twenty years ago. The editor part is relieved it’s finally published. The writer part is already planning revisions. Recently she completed a novel, a thriller.
